New York, Temple Bar, South Africa, Arklow!

Posted by:

It’s been a busy few days here at HQ. Besides waiting for the roof of my office to go the way of Dec Burke’s trampoline, I’ve been busily organising something of a small tour for  The Chosen.

So far we have the launch on October 19th at The Gutter Bookshop, the 22nd October, I will be at Easons, in The Bridgewater Centre in Arklow, to sign and have a chat about all things crime.

29th October: Heading South ...

Deadlier than the male? Perhaps. Now pass me my diamonds.

Posted by:

Yesterday was cracking fun. I got to join Alex Barclay, Ava McCarthy and Niamh O’Connor at the Hibernian Club on Stephen’s Green for a 40’s styled photo-shoot. The finished product will appear in The Examiner sometimes in October. The theme was ‘more deadly than the male’, and it goes with a piece written by Declan Burke.

From getting an agent – the peerless Faith O’Grady from the Lisa Richards Agency ...

Until then, can I direct you along to here where fellow scribe Declan Burke has posted reviews of the very excellent ...

New photos

I am not a natural model, my face freezes in weird, sometimes down right scary, masks whenever anyone points a camera my way. So it was with sheer delight I got to work with Annie Atkins on my new shots. She’s just so relaxed and efficient.

Presenting ‘The Chosen’ cover

Posted by:

Okay, behind the scene busy bees were being busy, goldilock style worker fairies were getting this cover ‘just right’ and lo, I think we have cracked it.

This is the cover for the new book, I am so excited about it I am typing this while hovering an inch above my seat. Publication details to follow.

Absolute Cool Zero: funny, dark, rad to the bone: that’s right, rad.

Declan Burke - Absolute Cool ZeroFellow scribe and all round good egg Declan Burke – last seen round these parts as editor and shepherd for the excellent Down These Green Streets – has a new novel about to bounce free.
