New York, Temple Bar, South Africa, Arklow!

It’s been a busy few days here at HQ. Besides waiting for the roof of my office to go the way of Dec Burke’s trampoline, I’ve been busily organising something of a small tour forĀ  The Chosen.

So far we have the launch on October 19th at The Gutter Bookshop, the 22nd October, I will be at Easons, in The Bridgewater Centre in Arklow, to sign and have a chat about all things crime.

29th October: Heading South to The Killarney Bookshop, for an afternoon chat of murder most foul. 1-2pm.

31st October, Halloween, spooky! Ghoulishly travelling to Belfast to No Alibis Bookstore to meet with Ger Brennan and hopefully spellbind (geddit, oh dear, somebody stop me) our audience with tales of the unexpected… or actually the pretty much expected as Ger will be discussing his latest The Point and me, The Chosen.

1st of November, at 9:10 am I will be appearing on the excellent TV3, to chat about the new novel and Portnoy Publishing. On Saturday 5th of November, I’m heading to beautiful Galway, and Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop

12th of November I will be in Kilkenny at The Book Centre and on the 16th of November, I will be taking part in the “Scales of justice’ at the Fourcourts here in Dublin, which should be terrific fun.

Today, Mike Nicol, the blistering South African author, whose novel Payback I am currently nose deep in, has posted part of The Chosen on his web site, if you’d like a glimpse, please drop by and take a gander.

Tonight I am also off to The Gutter Bookshop for the Launch of Alan Glynn’s latest novel – Blood Land. I am very much looking forward to reading this.

I’ve linked into Ger Brennan’s site as I have just last night finished Ger’s brilliantly entertaining and scorchingly funny novella, The Point. Slam-bam grabs you by the throat and never lets go from the very start, black humour at its finest, with one of the most inventive ways to steal a car I’ve ever come across. Highly recommended.

And finally, next week I am off to New York, to promote and discuss Down these Green Streets with an entertaining crew of fellow scribes.

I really hope this roof doesn’t blow away!
