A slow march across the globe.

Good evening. It’s Tuesday the 13th of May, 13, a suspicious number for some but a golly an auspicious one for me it seems. I ought to update this blog more often but I doubt you’d really want to hear my day to day routine. It would be very repetitive and go something like, ‘got up, sleepy, had toast, fed dog, ignored cats, sat at computer, read emails, yawned, watched birds, yawned some more, considered work, patted dog, had more tea…’
I mean lets face it, not exactly riveting stuff.
So here’s what I’ll do, I’ll post here when there is news. And I have news.
First off, I have finished Undertow, my fifth novel and the fourth in the QuicK investigations series. Naturally my lovely editor Ciara will insist -correctly- that I do some editing and what not, but after than it’s pretty much in the bag for a September/October release. I will post the first chapter and the cover shortly. The cover is absolutely amazing, very dark and atmospheric. I think it is my favourite to date.
Secondly. I got word to day that MPD has been bought by Russian publishing house Azbooka. No word yet on title or cover but as soon as I know I’ll post it here. Also I believe the Vermist, the Dutch version will be released later this month. I am very excited about this development and looking forward to seeing the books in all their foreign glory.
Right ho, that’s all the news. I am sure everyone is enjoying the glorious weather. I do hope it lasts for a few more weeks. The dog and I have taken to sprawling out on the lawn at around three every afternoon for extended…er, research sessions. No really, reading is work you know.
